I’ve been noticing a vibration in my 2015 Infiniti Q50 for a few weeks now and I’ve finally accepted that I can’t keep ignoring it because it’s getting worse and I’m starting to worry it’s something serious. The vibration is most noticeable at higher speeds, somewhere around 80 to 100 kilometres an hour, and it feels like it’s coming from underneath the car rather than through the steering wheel, which a mate told me could point to a driveshaft or propshaft issue rather than something with the wheels or tyres. I’ve had the wheels balanced already and it made no difference, so I’m fairly sure it’s not that. The car has done about 150,000 kilometres and I’ve never had any drivetrain work done on it, so I suppose it’s due for something at this age. What I’m trying to find is an Infiniti driveshaft repair specialist in Musaffah, someone who actually knows these cars and can diagnose whether it’s a worn universal joint, a failing centre bearing, or something else entirely, rather than just guessing and throwing parts at it. The thing that worries me is that I’ve heard driveshaft problems can be dangerous if left alone, and I don’t want to be driving on the highway with something that could let go. I’ve also heard that some garages will just replace the whole shaft when a much cheaper repair would have done the job, and I’d rather not pay for a full replacement if it’s not necessary. Has anyone here actually had driveshaft work done on an Infiniti or a similar Japanese car in Musaffah and been happy with the result? I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience, roughly what it cost, and whether they actually diagnosed it properly before quoting. Any genuine recommendations would mean a lot because I need to get this sorted before the vibration turns into something worse.
