I’ve had my 2017 Q7 for about three years now and it’s been a fantastic family car, super comfortable and practical for lugging the kids around, but over the last few weeks I’ve noticed this strange vibration that seems to come and go depending on my speed. It’s most noticeable between 80 and 100 kilometers per hour, where I can feel a slight shudder through the floor and the steering wheel, but then it smooths out again once I go above that or drop below it. I’ve already had the wheels balanced and rotated twice at two different shops, and both times they said everything was fine, so I’m pretty sure it’s not a wheel balance issue at this point. I’m starting to think it might be something drivetrain-related like a worn centre bearing on the driveshaft or maybe even a transmission mount that’s starting to fail, but honestly I’m not experienced enough to diagnose it myself and I don’t want to just keep throwing money at guesses. The tricky part is that this car has so many complex systems and I really need someone who understands Audis properly to get to the bottom of it. I’ve been asking around and it seems like finding a certified Audi specialist in Abu Dhabi is really important because these cars have so many electronic systems that interact with the drivetrain, and a general mechanic might miss something crucial. Has anyone else experienced a similar speed-related vibration on their Q7 and managed to get it resolved? I’d love to know what the issue turned out to be because I’m genuinely puzzled and it’s starting to drive me crazy.
