Hi everyone, I’m still thanking my lucky stars that things worked out the way they did yesterday because honestly I was minutes away from just giving up and calling my boss to say I wouldn’t make it. I had a huge presentation scheduled for 9am that I’ve been preparing for weeks and I left my house at 8:15 thinking I had plenty of time. I got to my car, turned the key, and heard that dreaded slow cranking sound that every driver knows means the battery is dying. I tried again and the cranking got even slower. On the third try I just got that rapid clicking noise and then nothing. I sat there for a second just staring at the steering wheel in disbelief because of all the mornings for this to happen why did it have to be today. I called my insurance roadside assistance but after explaining my situation the person on the phone said the earliest they could have someone to me was in about ninety minutes. Ninety minutes would have made me over two hours late for my presentation. I started frantically searching online for any alternative and that’s when I found a company that offers a quick jumpstart service Abu Dhabi with response times under forty five minutes. I called them and the dispatcher was very understanding when I explained that I was in a rush. He said he would send someone immediately and that they would try to get to me within half an hour. I was skeptical because every company promises fast service but I didn’t have any other options. A guy on a motorcycle showed up in about twenty five minutes which honestly shocked me because I didn’t even know jumpstart services could come on motorcycles. He had a portable jump starter in his backpack and had my car running in less than two minutes. I made it to my office at 8:55 which gave me just enough time to set up my laptop and notes before my presentation started. I ended up doing really well and my boss was impressed. I gave the guy a nice tip because he honestly saved my career. Now I always want to have their number saved in my phone for emergencies. Has anyone else had a similar experience where a quick response made all the difference between disaster and success? I’d love to hear your stories. Thanks for reading.
