    Hey everyone,

If you’re driving an older car in Nashville, is it really worth keeping full coverage, or is liability-only enough? Once a vehicle’s market value drops, paying extra for collision and comprehensive might not make financial sense because the potential payout after an accident could be less than what you’re spending on premiums each year.

Many Tennessee drivers with high-mileage or low-value cars switch to liability-only to save money. But there’s still some risk—like weather damage or theft—that won’t be covered. It really depends on your car’s value and how much peace of mind you want.

When I looked at car insurance in Nashville, TN, I saw some insurers even let you customize coverage, keeping only comprehensive but dropping collision to balance protection with savings.

Have you dropped full coverage on an older car? Did it actually save you a lot without causing issues later?
