I took my 2020 Jeep Wrangler JL to the dealership for a minor service last week, oil change, filter, and a “multi point inspection.” When I got the bill I almost choked, nearly 1800 dirhams for what felt like an hour of work. I know dealer prices are higher but that just seems insane for a basic oil change. A coworker told me I should look at independent shops that specialize in Jeeps and offer the same quality for half the price. I found a place that offers Complete Servicing Mussafah Solutions for both minor and major services and they use genuine Mopar parts. Has anyone here switched from the dealer to an independent for routine maintenance and regretted it? I’m a bit worried about the digital service history not being as complete, but saving 900 dirhams per service adds up fast. The independent I found has good reviews online but you never know if they’re fake. Also wondering if they reset the oil change light properly and actually do all the inspection items on the checklist. Would love to hear from people who’ve made the switch on a JL and whether you had any warranty issues later. I’m in Abu Dhabi so Mussafah is convenient. Thanks.
