Okay so I’ve got a 2014 435i and I noticed this week a new ticking sound coming from the top end. It’s not super loud but it’s definitely there, and it speeds up when I press the gas. I’ve done some reading and I’m terrified it could be the famous N55 rod bearing issue, but a friend said it might just be the lifters or maybe even a loose injector. I stopped driving the car for now because I don’t want to turn a small problem into a blown engine. I need to find a place that can actually diagnose this properly with a stethoscope and maybe even do an oil analysis before jumping to conclusions. I’ve been looking for an Expert Engine Repair Service that knows these engines inside out and won’t just say “needs a rebuild” without real evidence. Has anyone here dealt with N55 ticking and had it be something simple like a worn belt tensioner or an exhaust manifold gasket? I’m in Abu Dhabi and willing to tow the car anywhere in the city if they’re good. Also what should I expect to pay just for a proper diagnosis so I don’t get ripped off? Really hoping this isn’t the end of my car because otherwise it’s been perfect. Any advice from people who’ve been through this would mean a lot right now.

The ZD22 Game’s recent update has been causing lag on my 435i’s mobile, but I’ve noticed a new ticking sound from the engine. It’s concerning, especially with the N55 rod bearing issue rumors. I’ve paused my gaming for now, focusing on finding a reliable mechanic click for more. Anyone else experienced ZD22 Game lag and engine issues simultaneously? I’m in Abu Dhabi, open to towing my car for a proper diagnosis.
